Brian J. Cooney

Brian J. Cooney, retired as Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration at Barriere Construction Company, LLC, a heavy/highway contractor in Southeastern Louisiana. Brian was with Barriere since 1988 and has worked in the construction industry for nearly 30 years. Brian continues to give back to the construction industry through board membership and consulting engagements. He is a past Secretary and Director of CFMA. Brian has also served as Chairman of the Heavy/Highway Special Interest Committee. He is a founding member of the Southeast Louisiana Chapter. In 2005, Brian received CFMA’s Debra Hahn Memorial Association Award and in 2009, received CFMA’s Danny B. Parrish Outstanding Leadership Award. He is a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL, and received his MBA from Tulane University.
